Niskayuna Tree Council

The Niskayuna Tree Council has held seasonal tree photo contests for fall, winter, and spring, and we now want to complete the seasons by offering a Summer Trees Photo Contest! Our town has earned the distinction of being a Tree City for over 15 years, and boasts some truly amazing trees. To celebrate, we are inviting all Niskayuna residents to photograph summer trees and/or people interacting with trees —
lying in a hammock, picnicking under them, etc. Be creative! Prizes will be awarded for winners in various age categories.

Entry Rules

• Photographs must be taken from June 21, 2025 until September 21, 2025 and prominently feature trees and shrubs that are within the Niskayuna town limits. 
• Photographs can be taken by anyone old enough to hold a camera (or phone!), and prizes will be awarded to different age groups
• One entry per person
• Multiple members of one household may enter
• Entry authorizes the Town and Niskayuna Tree Council to use your picture on our website and in other Tree Council publications

Submission Guidelines:

• Photos must be of .jpg format, under 20 MB, and unedited.
• Upload your photo, give it a title, enter your name and contact information, and describe the summer activity involving the tree.
