The Niskayuna Tree Council recognizes Andrea Worthington, who is retiring from the council after 30 years as an active member. In that time, she educated Niskayuna residents on the benefits of trees; worked with developers to save old trees; went door-to-door to meet with residents; provided expert opinion on the health of various street trees; and participated in numerous community events including many Arbor Days and Niska Days. In honor of her efforts, a dawn redwood tree has been planted in Aqueduct Park and a town resolution was created and read to her by Niskayuna Town Board member, Denise McGraw.
Thank you, Andrea, for all you have done for our town.
